When scheduling an academic half-day event, you can choose from five different colours of flags to represent the event in your calendar. These will show you at-a-glance which days have events scheduled. Also, by giving each flag colour a specific label (or meaning), your calendar will become even more informative. For example, a popular way of labeling flags is by location (i.e., each colour represents a different event site). In this manner, administrators can quickly tell where an event is being held simply by looking at their calendar.
Another useful way to use your flags is to make each colour represent a different group of attendees. Or, you can use them to represent your own workflow (i.e., red for events that still require a teacher, green for events that still require handouts, etc.). Flags can be used in a variety of ways to make your job easier.
| If a day in your calendar has a number instead of a flag, this means more than one event is scheduled for that day and the events have different flag colours. For example, in the image below, there are three events scheduled for November 18th and each one uses a different colour. |

To assign labels to the coloured flags:
1 Click the Schedules tab.

2 Click the appropriate schedule under the Academic Session header.

3 Click the Prefs tab.
4 Click "Flag Colors."
5 Type the labels you want beside the appropriate flags.

Now, when you are scheduling a new event, the labels appear next to the flags.
